Stille Dag is a documentary that utilizes timelapse photography to follow the filmmaker’s mother for 24 hours. The audio consists of two conversations between the filmmaker and his mother.
For the past two weeks Elin Øyen Vister has been in residency at BEK, preparing for her sound installation “Soundscape Røst for Insomnia”, soon to be presented at Tromsø kunstforening.

Marieke Verbiesen will be in Copenhagen to give a live animation workshop and collaborative performance at the Click New Media Art Festival in Helsingør Denmark.
In 2011 the artist Thorolf Thuestad visited four senior centers in the Bergen area. Residents gave detailed descriptions of memories associated with the sounds of nature. Now the results are presented at the retirement homes where the interviews were conducted.
A zero document is the term for a document in the public sector that has been filed in a separate folder for zero documents. Such documents have for various reasons been exempted access, and documents have often not been preserved.
The use of multichannel surround sound is by now commonly used in a wide range of applications, including film production, gaming, electronic music, video and sound installations and works for stage.
This event starts out with a number of hands-on presentations offering an introduction to work on spatial sound. The event concludes with a concert presenting works by Ruben Sverre Gjertsen and Hans-Gunter Lock.
From the summer onwards the sound installation “Lines converging at a distance” by Trond Lossius has been presented at Håkon’s Hall. This Monday there will be a talk and conversation about the work, touching upon the artistic process as well as the technical aspects of the installation.
Saturday 4th at 14:00 there will be an artist talk by Sachiko Hayashi at BEK. Sachiko was Artist in Residency at USF Verftet in 2010. Now she’s back in Bergen, so please, welcome to C. Sundtsgt. 55, 8. floor for an interesting hour.
