Conversation with Knut Wiggen

Several works by Knut Wiggen will be performed at the Bergen International Festival 2009. Knut Wiggen, a pioneer of electronic music, will be presented through a conversation with Tilman Hartenstein, expert on sound art, and Zaid Holmin, programmer at EMS.

Artist talk: Mem1

Mem1 (Mark + Laura Cetilia) seamlessly blends the sounds of cello and electronics to create a limitless palette of sonic possibilities. In their improvisation-based performances, all sounds are derived from the cello as the sole source material, which is manipulated in real time. Their music moves beyond melody, lyricism, and traditional structural confines, resulting in organically revealed narrative.

BEK invites to the presentation The music will not be broadcast by Brandon LaBelle. LaBelle is an artist and writer working with sound and cultural narratives. For the presentation LaBelle will share his recent projects and talk through related issues. In addition, he will present his new publication documenting his project Radio Memory.
