Røster III takes the listener on an aural journey through a series of sound tableauxs carefully sculptured and arranged by the artist’s archive of field recordings from the Røst Arcipelago, in Lofoten, Northern Norway between 2010 and 2015.
The End(s) of Electronic Literature Conference will take place August 5-7, 2015, and is hosted by the Electronic Literature Research Group at the University of Bergen. Pre-conference workshops will take place on August 4th. BEK supports the conference with equipment.
The exhibition Dream Dust is an invitation to explore the dreams of adults and children, but is also a tribute to picture books as works of art.

Material Vision – Silent Reading is a film and series of prints by Espen Sommer Eide, based on the creation of new musical instruments and a performance developed on Bear Island. Exhibition opening at Trykkeriet, and filmscreening at Landmark.
This weekend Stiftelsen 3,14 offers a four day video screening program with works by Sara Rajaei, Cynthia Marcelle, Elena Kovylina and Eva Ljosvoll. All four artists have exhibited previously at 3,14, and this is an opportunity to see some of their more recent works.
A Norwegian artist group, InEpic, are invited to KOCHI – MUZIRIS Biennial in India, to participate in the current conversation about women’s rights. Here, different topics of feminism are treated with different artistic expressions, with exhibitions and seminars. One of the artists who are participating is Gitte Sætre. BEK has assisted her in the preparation of video material for the biennial.
Trond Lossius og Jeremy Welsh deltar i kunsthappeningen og utstillingen Oversettelser ved Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall i Arendal. Elever og barnehagebarn møter musikere, dansere, installasjons-, lyd- og videokunstnere for å lage møtepunkter mellom det performative, den kunsten som skjer i øyeblikket, og det installative, den romlige kunsten. Oversettelser er kuratert av LEMUR.
Kjersti Sundland and Anne Bang Steinsvik’s installation Conjoin opens at Bergen Kjøtt on Thursday 22. of January. BEK has collaborated with the artists to develop solutions that utilize audio signals as triggers for light and video images. Programming by Stian Remvik.
In celebration of the love of the electronic arts, Salongen presented an exciting evening filled with the rare combination of art, music and science. The premiere of Our Resilient Genome, an animated science film by Pina Kingman, was screened along with a house DJ set by internationally acclaimed DJ Eddie Da Bass.
