In this Verktøykassen we will be looking into video synchronization; when two or more videos are playing synchronously on separate screens or projectors. Work Residency: Peder Niilas Tårnesvik

After releasing two EP’s, Peder Niilas Tårnesvik, aka Niilas, has started to work on his first album. Niilas will continue this work in BEK’s sound studio March 18 – 24th, where he mainly will do the last compositions, make selections and create transitions between the songs. The album will be made as a continuous listening experience.

Work Residency: Åse Løvgren, Stine Gonsholt and Alexander Rishaug

Verktøykassen: Interactive projects for screens

If you want to create something interactive for a screen (TV, computer screen, mobile, tray, VR), Unity is a good option. Inputs can be game controllers, keyboard and mouse, motion sensors, etc.

Work Residency: Vilde Salhus Røed

Vilde Salhus Røed is on a work residency at BEK February 27th –  March 2nd together with sound designer Rikard Strømsodd. They are developing a new sound work, and will test out solutions for how the sound images can surround the viewer in the exhibition space.

Work Residency: Siri Ingul, Kristian Berg-Jåtten and Arthur Hureau

In the period of March 4 -12th, Siri Ingul, Kristian Berg-Jåtten and Arthur Hureau will be working in BEK’s sound studio to develop an auditory interpretation of the text Lenis plassar (Leni’s places) by Øivind Rimbereid. The sound topography they work on will be performed live, and will be an interdisciplinary artistic meeting between Norwegian contemporary lyric poetry and French electronic music.

Work Residency: Maia Urstad

Maia Urstad will be at BEK for a work residency in the period of February 12 – 20th to develop the soundscape for her installation Murmur for Borderline festival at Onassis Cultural Centre (OCC) in Athens in the beginning of April this year, curated by Michalis Moscoutis.
