Jiska Huizing and Mathias Loose at Kontejner lab in Croatia

The two artists Jiska Huizing and Mathias Loose was part of our Croatian partner Kontejner’s lab from 21st – 31st of January 2019. The lab invited international artists with special focus on performance and media art, and the selection was curated by the partners in Future DiverCities. During a total of 10 days, the artistic team visited Zagreb and Rijeka.

Bjørg Taranger: Det hvite toget

Bjørg Taranger’s project Det hvite toget (The White Train) is a video installation projected onto the large windows in Kunstgarasjen. BEK has been consultant during the development of the project, Lars Ove Toft has set up the sound and the media players in the exhibition space, and Stian Remvik has mapped the videos onto the many window surfaces by using MadMapper.

Crash course in filmmaking

Make a story, prepare the shoot and hit REC, before going into the crucial editing process! The workshop will be led by filmmaker and -producer Paul Johannessen, and will run for two days. The first day we will learn theory and get some introductions, and the second day we will be making something.
