The Borealis London Launch will take place at the Kings Place in London on January 25. Featured artists include Bjørnar Habbestad and Pascal Baltazar, MOHA!, Mark Knoop and Rolf Borch. Also featuring a specially created escalator game piece by Simon Katan with members of Trinity College of Music.

Gerhard Eckel is Professor of Computer Music and Multimedia at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM), University of Music and Performing Arts (KUG) in Graz, Austria. He creates sound and music installations for real and virtual spaces, which are presented at international festivals, conferences and trade fairs as well as in museums and galleries. He is currently artist-in-residency in Bergen, working on a commision for the upcoming Borealis festival.

Trond Lossius will be visiting Laboratory of Acoustics and Audio Signal Processing at Helsinki University of Technology. During the visit he will give a short talk on the use of spatialisation in his artistic work, and development related to spatialiation within the framework of Jamoma.

Trond Lossius is invited to give self presentation at MUU galleria in Helsinki, discussing recent works with a focus on sound installations using Max/MSP. The presentation is part of an Interactive Sound art class organized by Muu Media Base from December 2009 until March 2010. The course is focusing on sound and installation using the Max/MSP software.
