Loadbang: Introduction to Jamoma

Jamoma is a framework for structured programming in the multimedia environment Max/MSP/Jitter. Version 0.5 was released recently. This session will give an introduction to the use of Jamoma, how to create your own modules, and will look into how Jamoma might benefit structuring and control of patches. loadbang is a collaboration between BEK and KHIB.

Loadbang: Spectral analysis and processing

For this weeks session on advanced topics in real-time processing of media, we will be looking Fast Fourier Transforms and spectral analysis and processing. Fourier Transforms can be used for analysis and processing of audio and image in the frequency domain. loadbang is a collaboration between BEK and KHIB.

Artist Talk : Gisle Martens Meyer

Gisle Martens Meyer is a norwegian musician and composer, born in 1975, and living in Bergen. Gisle had a commercial breakthrough with the electronica project UGRESS in the early 2000s. The use of cinematic elements both in music and on stage made Ugress very popular. His musical career developed into several different projects, and Gisle is a frequently used composer in films, TV, theatre, computer games and art.

Bjørnar Habbestad: Residency at GMEA in Albi, France

The flutist and improviser Bjørnar Habbestad is currently doing a residency in Albi, France, as part of a cultural exchange program between BEK and GMEA Centre National de Création Musicale. He will be collaborating with Pascal Baltazar on a joint commission from BEK and GMEA.

Signatur @ Avgarde

The Signatur youngsters will play a trigging consert at Avgarde on Saturday 8th of May. The event will take place in Tårnet at Bergen Art Museum. Last chance to add finishing touches to samples and costumes was on Saturday, 1th of May.
