The two artists Jiska Huizing and Mathias Loose was part of our Croatian partner Kontejner’s lab from 21st – 31st of January 2019. The lab invited international artists with special focus on performance and media art, and the selection was curated by the partners in Future DiverCities. During a total of 10 days, the artistic team visited Zagreb and Rijeka.

Make a story, prepare the shoot and hit REC, before going into the crucial editing process! The workshop will be led by filmmaker and -producer Paul Johannessen, and will run for two days. This five-day workshop on experimental nonfiction audio composition for experienced artists will provide an opportunity to create audio works which explore notions of ‘place’, where equal emphasis is placed on the practice of recording and on the tasks of listening back, making selections, and composing edited pieces with those selections.
