Exhibition on Sonic Interaction Design

Boom…stroke…aaaaeeeehhhh…swing…crash…push…beeep! We struggle to put sonic interactions into words – and that is why an exhibition with real examples of sonic interaction design is the best way to experience this new field of research. It allows you to get your hands – and ears – on interactive works that showcase how sound can facilitate interaction in product design, mobile media, communicating scientific data, interactive art, and more.

WHAAT? Sound in space

Maria Øy Lojo is holding a workshop with and about sound in Lillehammer at Amandus Film Festival for Young Filmmakers. Amandus Film Festival is a national festival focusing on young and up-and-coming filmmakers in Norway. The festival aims to stimulate young people to make more and better films and to give young producers access to screening venues like cinema theatres and TV.

Borealis Avgarde Extreme – Le Jury & Trond Lossius

What happens to a musician’s brain when under duress? For this event, Le Jury will improvise non-stop for 12 hours, during which the activity of their brains will be monitored by researchers from Bergen University. This data will be displayed to the public, as well as being used by electronic media artist Trond Lossius to create a live visual display.
