Three Mixers Concert Landmark
Published
Tijs Ham, a sound artist, working at STEIM in the Netherlands, will be developing a new live electronics setup in a residency at BEK during 2 weeks in June 2015. In his works he combines the expressive chaotic sounds of analog feedback mixers and programmed digital manipulations. On 24 June Ham will perform a set with the new setup and give a talk giving an insight into the system, its possibilities and future goals.
For the performance Tijs will be joined by Bjørnar Habbestad, a flutist working as a soloist, chamber- and ensemble musician in Scandinavia, Europe, Asia and the US, and covering musical grounds from classical contemporary to noise, electro-acoustic and free improvised music.
Lastly, Birk Nygaard will join in with a fascinating new project, combining lasers with sound to arrive at beautifully synced audiovisual experience.
The project ‘Three Mixers’ is supported by Stimuleringsfonds E-Cultuur.
