“On Balancing” – an exhibiton by Ellen Røed and Christian Blom

It is not only the gravitational force that makes us not feel this movement, it is also the lack of reference points. The exhibition of Ellen Roed and Christian Blom at ROM8 reflects on the reference point’s role in the production of knowledge and the elaborate choreography that can occur during production of a scientific standard.
Ellen Roed is a research fellow at the Art Academy in Bergen and has invited artist and composer Christian Blom for cooperation in this exhibition project that is part of the Borealis Festival.

Blom and Roed has previously collaborated on ‘Couperins hode, skulder, kne og tå’, which was shown at Borealis in 2007.
