BEK Opening Week: Crash courses

Join us for crash courses in our sound and video studios as part of BEK Opening Week! Beginners and curious folk get an introduction to using our studios, equipment and software followed by a shared dinner and a possibility to test live mixing of sound and image.

Please be at BEK no later than 5 minutes before start time for the crash courses!
16:00–17:00 Crash course: Sound studio
In the sound studio we will look at possible setups and uses and how you can configure it: From critical monitoring and mixing through to using it for sound for film, voice-over or recording a piece of improvised electronics, to name a few possible uses.
17:00–18:00 Crash course: Video
Join Kaeto and Åse for a video studio tour. We introduce the new 8K Mac Studio video editing facilities and get to know the new Sony Alpha 1 camera, try out other cameras, tripods and gimbal.
18:00 Live mix and dinner
We bring sound and video together with a set up of live video and sound programs: VDMX and Ableton Live! Join us as we try out and play projecting images and sound together live in BEK’s project room. The equipment is available and the studios are open for guests to test out. In addition, you are welcome to join a warm dinner in the BEK kitchen.
