Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts

Through a two-year process, the Norwegian ensemble Lemur has examined how architecture and acoustics can affect harmony, instrumentation and musical form. The work is partly based on a unique collaboration with one of the world’s leading acoustics firm, Arup Acoustic in New York. To premiere in the Nidaros cathedral, the ensemble has extended their line-up with nine of Norway’s and Europe’s leading improvising musicians, all involved to create a concert experience where art and science meet.
