Ezequiel Menalled was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in November 1980. He has studied composition at the Center for Advanced Studies in Contemporary Music in Buenos Aires, The Hague Royal Conservatoire and Sonology Institute of Den Haag.

He writes for instruments as well as composing electro-acoustic works. He has worked with numerous ensembles such as Arditti Quartet, Luxembourg Sinfonietta, Klang, Nieuw Ensemble, Nouvelle Ensemble Moderne and Ensemble MAE, among others. Since 2003 is the artistic director and conductor of Modelo62, an ensemble devoted to the promotion, creation and interpretation of new music.
