Instructor Kristoffer Jonsson is a sound engineer at Bergen Ento, with 13 years of experience with live production and system integration, with versatile skills in both technical and live performance environments.
He has experience with diagnosing and repairing a wide range of instruments and amplifiers, ensuring smooth operations for performers and technical teams alike.
With several years of hands-on work in the field, Kristoffer is proficient in on-site and road repairs of power distribution systems, motor controllers, and cable infrastructure.
GRIP
GRIP is part of an initiative by Bergen Kjøtt, AKKS Bergen, Carte Blanche, BIT Teatergarasjen and sound technician Irene Bjørke to strengthen a greater diversity of people with technical expertise in Vestland. Women, non-binary and transgender people are still strongly underrepresented in the sound engineering field – in 2022 it was reported that 93% of all technicians in Norway are cis-male. We want to change this.
GRIP aims to increase the proportion of women, non-binary and transgender people in sound technician roles in Norway´s cultural organizations. The development of the cultural scene is not only about creating a diversity of role models on stage, but also behind the scenes – in production, lighting and sound engineering, and in all other important roles behind the scenes.
