Anne Tveit Knutsen

Anne Tveit Knutsen (b. 1961 in Haugesund) wants with her work to bring out a sensuality and sensitivity, and allow for the wordless. In her work, she focuses on people in different life situations, and is passionate about people, regardless of resources, life situation and positions, being met with the same respect in society. Human encounters, relationships and injustice motivate Knutsen to create art, and especially people and groups who do not always shout the loudest. Her projects most often take shape through video and film, but also as artist books or other sketches that are created in the work process.

Knutsen is a graduate of the Bergen National Academy of Art and Design, where she majored in 2004. She is also a trained nurse.
