Gisle Martens Meyer

Gisle Martens Meyer (b. 1975) is a Norwegian artist, composer and media artist with electronic pop music as his core interest. He has created music, sound design and performances for international festivals, films, TV series, video games, dance performances and art installations. His main project Ugress is a cinematic, electronic music project that in a seemingly playful format addresses heavier issues around screen-based everyday life, technology and the future.

Martens Meyer has made compositions, commissioned works and productions for Norwegian and international institutions such as NRK, SONY Computer Entertainment, The Norwegian National Ballet, Rikskonsertene, Carte Blanche, Cinematekene i Norge, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, BIT 20 Ensemble, Festspillene i Bergen, Stavanger Konserthall, Oslo Miljøhovedstad 2019 , BIT Teatergarasjen, KORK, Insomnia Festival, and more.
