Full programme BEK Opening Week 2024
Published
BEK begins the new year with presentations from several artists focusing on listening and sound. Please join us for a semester start with performances and presentations, a movie and a workshop connected to BEK’s latest studio residencies and projects.
The week starts and ends in Pauline Oliveros’ spirit: try a workshop in Extended Listening inspired by the legendary composer and musician’s philosophies, or catch the Norwegian premiere of the documentary on her life and work at Cinemateket Bergen. On Saturday at BEK you can get a glimpse into the artistic practices of Arild Boman and Kjersti Sundland, experience sound performances by Maia Urstad and Ashley Holmes, and a commission work by Roy Claire Potter.
Find more information in the programme links below. The events at BEK are free, with no registration required! For the film at Cinemateket Bergen you can buy a ticket on their webpage.
