Open call: Studio Residencies at BEK (video and electronics)

Our video studio and electronics lab are open for studio residencies of 2-4 weeks from 13 September through 2021. If you are working on an art project involving moving image or electronics, you are welcome to apply for a residency.
The open call is specifically for the video studio and electronics lab, as the sound studio is fully booked for now.

The application deadline is 27 August 2021.
Residencies are open to professional artists and we prioritise projects that are experimental in their use of technology, or interrogate its relationship to art and society. We offer our facilities and equipment, and expect artists to work independently. However, Studio Residents are also able to apply for advice sessions with our in-house experts to help with specific project needs.
Please note that we offer our production facilities only, and do not cover travel, accommodation or project costs.

Video studio
Our video studio is optimal for working with video and animation projects. The studio is equipped with two 4k screens and two active audio monitors, and a Mac Pro 2013 with Pegasus NAS system and access to editing programs such as Final Cut Pro, Dragon Stopmotion and Adobe Creative Cloud. You can also easily work on your own laptop by connecting the speakers and the screens.
Electronics lab
In the electronics lab, you can create everything electronically using components, Potmeters, Servos and sensors. We have a soldering station with adjustable temperature, table lamp with magnifying glass, Multiclamp, Dremel with accessories, Drill press and much more.
Regarding infection control: At BEK, we comply with current guidelines from the authorities in connection with covid-19 and facilitate all work and visits accordingly. We expect everyone visiting and using our premises to also comply with the guidelines in force at any given time.
