We look back in gratitude at everything that Espen Sommer Eide and Marieke Verbiesen have contributed to BEK throughout the last two decades.
Espen and Marieke recently left their positions as advisers in art and technology to work on their own projects. It will be quite a challenge to make up for their absence at BEK!
From his years at BEK, Espen has left a legacy of online material and physical editions, concerts, installations, exhibitions, videos and text. Above all, he’s left us with a contagious enthusiasm for finding the gateway to new opportunities. We thank Espen for everything he has contributed to BEK, wishing him well on his journey of quirkiness and collaborations.
As Marieke now starts her PhD studies, we will miss out on a daily plethora of funny comments, fascinating language entanglements and a playful approach to art. We wish Marieke all the best with the new research and new projects!
