Hils på Walla Walla Valhalla! En samling og et møtepunkt for eksperimentell film og bevegelig bilde i utkanten av filmproduksjon. WWV er et todagers event, som begynner lørdag 18. november med filmvisning fra Von Calhau! (PT) og Marius Mørch (NO). Søndag 19.november blir det masterclass med Von Calhau! på BEK. Begge dager er gratis og åpne for alle!

I denne masterclassen vil det fokuseres på poetiske verktøy som middel for å konstruere og dekonstruere innhold. Spesielt vil det bli snakket om visuell poesi og språkspill i arbeidsprosessen. Von Calhau! vil dele sine researchmetodologier, referanser og verktøy de benytter i sitt eget arbeid og hvordan de bruker ulike media.

Von Calhau! (2006-) is a Portuguese art collective working with film, music, performance and graphics. Their practice, truly subterranean, emerges from different mediums while continuously affirming a shamanic – necessarily «urban» – state of affairs. More info about Von Calhau! here.
Marius Mørch attended Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen in 1999-2004. Mørch has repeatedly used sampling and manipulation of scenes from films, that he cuts and assembles in new sequences, creating a different content and function, than what was initially intended. The film sequences often appear in a repetitive and reiterated pattern that supports and amplifies the occurring themes.
WWV masterclasses have the main goal of providing tools and knowledge throughout art practices, therefore they are directed to methods and processes.
WWV is organized by Ramsalt, and is supported by Bergen Municipality, BEK and Hordaland County.
