Collaboration is an essential part of her practice, and she is actively involved in several collective projects. She is one half of the artist duo Nayara Leite & Kaeto Sweeney.

Nayara is the founder of the publishing house Megafone Press, which combines activism with the written word and aims to amplify the voices of marginalised communities.

The Nordic Labor Film Festival

The Workers’ Film Festival uses the format of film screenings to highlight important issues and gain new perspectives on workers’ struggles. International labour movements have historically been at the forefront of fighting for freedom and human rights, both in the workplace and across borders. The festival brings together trade unions, activists, artists and audiences for dialogue, workshops and debates that will inspire engagement and community. Film screenings, workshops, information booths, panel discussions, cultural elements and social meeting places are planned. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, the event is free of charge, with the aim of strengthening cooperation for a just, sustainable society.

The festival’s organizer is the media collective dotLeft, and the festival was held for the first time in Norway, 11 – 03 Oct 2021 in Bergen.
