ABOUT PARTICIPANTS

Jena Jang

Jena Jang is an experimental musician, DIY circuit artist, and ritual performer based between Czechia and South Korea. Their work explores the sonic healing power of improvised vocals and screaming, merging these elements with chaotic live compositions on self-built electronic instruments to trigger emotional release, unlock stuck energy, and cultivate positive transformation and circulation. By incorporating field recordings and developing performance methods based on natural structures, they seek to bridge the connection between human and non-human realms.

mort drew

mort drew is a sound artist and creative technician working on flat listening and collective broadcasting through experimental ecological radio practices. Their work explores ephemerality, activist radio, and alternative modalities of being with one another, working primarily with live sonic materials.

Through residencies, exhibitions, and workshops, they create networks for sonic exchanges that challenge traditional broadcasting hierarchies using the live radio space as a conduit for anti-colonial and anti-capitalist solidarities and strategies.

mort is co-founder of Associació So (Sound Association) a new sound art collective based in Catalunya, co-director of the artist cooperative Soundcamp and founder of Trans Activist Radio Group. They release experimental ambient electronic music under the name gravemere.

pantea

pantea is a cultural worker, creator, and writer engaging with how sounds translate ecological connections, collaborative survival, and the unheard. Their experience spans listening, walking, writing, cooking, and creating things, connections, and forms of hospitality. More recently, they have been working on ways of connecting struggles across different spheres within their praxis. They are involved in the Khamoosh community, dedicated to archiving Iranian sonic heritage through the sounds of everyday life, and the Active Listeners Club music label. They are currently pursuing a practice-based PhD in Music at City, St George’s, University of London. Their work has been performed and exhibited internationally and they are passionate about wetlands and plants, especially the Sundew.
