MA Graduate Studio Residency Award 2026

BEK is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 MA Graduate Studio Residency Award. Through a collaboration between BEK and the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD) at the University of Bergen (UiB), we offer studio residencies to recent graduates from the Art Academy.
The recipients of the 2026 MA Graduate Studio Residency Award are Mia Maria Norum Robsahm and Natalia Kasprzycka.
Natalia Kasprzycka
Natalia Kasprzycka (b. 1995, Warsaw) is a multi-media artist based between Bergen and Stoke-on-Trent. She investigates the processes of circulation and transformation of matter. In her practice making is a research method, while ceramics, clay and her pottery training remain constant points of reference.
Mia Maria Norum Robsahm
Mia Maria Norum Robsahm primarily works with interactive installations and have previously made a huge cardboard box with a hidden door, a portable sausage stand and a nail saloon. She uses humour and pop-cultural persuasion as tools and inspiration. For her master project she will show a video-installation.
The newly established Bergen-based artists will undertake a two-week residency at BEK later in 2026, with access to our video studio, sound studio, electronics lab and project spaces.
The selection committee, composed of members of the BEK staff, based its decision on both the residency applications and the works presented in Ears to the Ground – MA Fine Art Graduation Exhibition 2026. The committee was impressed by the high quality, originality and diversity of the projects, making the selection process both inspiring and challenging.
The award was announced on 12 June 2026 during the MA graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD), University of Bergen.
