At The Zoo

Karen Kipphoff and Trond Lossius collaborates on a videowork that is to be presented at the ICCI 360 panoramic video festival in Plymouth (UK) . The work is titled “At the Zoo”. It’s an anthropomorphic audiovisual composition.

NIME 2011 – Call for participation

The call for NIME 2011, 11th International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical, is out. The call is also asking for contributions towards an exhibition on sonic interaction design that will be curated in collaboration with the EU COST IC0601 Action on Sonic Interaction Design (SID). The exhibition, produced by BEK, will take place at the Norwegian Museum of Science, Technology and Medicine.

BEK has in recent weeks been the scene of the last updates before artist Jørgen Larsson presents his new installation Romklang at the restaurant Soria Mora in Oslo. Here guests can affect the sound in the room through a firmer grip on the ketchup bottle.

Ricardo del Pozo @ NZEMS

Ricardo del Pozo will attend The New Zealand Electroacoustic Music Symposium (NZEMS) 2010. His presentation will focus on his latest work “adaptation/volume”, and the use of Jamoma as a tool for artistic expression. NZEMS is hosted by The University of Auckland and takes place from 1. – 3. September.

Ghost Architectures

Jeremy Welsh and Trond Lossius is participating at the 6th International Conference on Small Island Cultures Guernsey, June 22 — 25 (2010). They will be presenting Ghost Architecture, an audio-visual performance based on material recorded around the sites of 2nd. world war German fortifications on islands off the west coast of Norway, near Bergen.
