Interrupted Futures is an installation by Ramallah-based artist Shuruq Harb. Centered on the film Al-Mashrou’, the work brings a site in Palestine into dialogue with the local context of Oslo. Earth-toned surfaces reference the palette of Palestine, while swings suspended from the ceiling destabilize the viewer’s physical and perceptual vantage point.

On 2 – 3 May Reveil will make its thirteenth annual day-long loop of earth, travelling west on live audio feeds sent in by streamers around sunrise. Reveil brings us together at a distance around its ephemeral streams from rural and urban places – birds, amphibians, weather and sounds we cannot identify.

Acoustic Laptop is a hands-on and exploratory workshop organised in collaboration with nyMusikk Bergen, where participants build their own electroacoustic instrument using contact microphones and self-selected materials. With a DIY approach to sound art, the workshop invites participants to listen to vibrations in wood, metal and other solid materials, and to explore a tactile and physical counterpoint to screen-based laptop music.
