As director of BEK, Maria is responsible for all of BEK’s current and future projects as well as organizing all aspects of administration.

Maria is a curator and producer. In 2014-2020 she was Curator of Live Programme at Bergen Kunsthall, where she was developing and presenting a comprehensive programme with discursive series, music, and performance, and has founded the one-day festival Poekahli and artists´ film and video series Zoom. Previously she worked as a curator and producer at Pikene på Broen and at the Murmansk Museum of Art in Russia.
