Artist Talk at Bergen Kunstmuseum
2012-12-05
Sunday 9 December there will be an Artist Talk with three local artists from the Material Information exhibition. One of these is Katrine Meisfjord. At Permanenten, Meisfjord displays a sound installation in the Red Room called Mennesket og Tingene, that comments on the current production conditions of objects. In this work you’ll be accompanied by personal stories from the multicultural Bergen related to the multinational company Hennes and Mauritz (H & M).
BEK has assisted Katrine during the development of the installation.

The 2012 issue of Kunstjournalen B-Post is ready for launch! Welcome to Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen, Tuesday 4 December. Doors open at 19:00 and we finish at approx. 21.00. The bar will be open.
With this issue, Kunstjournalen B-Post presents an introduction to audio art, sonic art, sound art – art that makes use of sound in one form or another. At the launch we will of course play some really nice audio clips and present works that are discussed in the magazine. Anne Marthe Dyvi, Brandon LaBelle and Eirik Kydland will bring along some samples. Moreover, we would like to talk about sound art. This is also an excellent chance to take home a copy of Kunstjournalen B-Post.
Contributers are: Anne Marthe Dyvi, Espen Sommer Eide, Mahlet Ogbe Habte, Carl Michael von Hausswolff, Brandon LaBelle, Jørgen Larsson, Sissel Lillebostad, Trond Lossius, Nicholas Møllerhaug, Anne Hilde Neset, María Andueza Olmedo, Finnbogi Petursson, Carsten Seiffarth, Karen Skog, Roar Sletteland, Maia Urstad and Jana Winderen.

Tore Vagn Lid (re)constructs Bertolt Brechts “Fatzer”
2012-12-02
For Transiteatret, Tore Vagn Lid has reworked Bertold Brechts’ unfinished manuscript Fatzer into a play that was premiered at Bergen Festspillene on the 25th of Mai 2012.
Ever since its premiere the play has highly been acclaimed by critics in norway and abroad. On the 6th of December 2012, Fatzer will be shown at the Nationaltheatret in Oslo.
This will be the third time Tore Vagn Lid and Tt-B embark upon the unknown sides of Brecht’s authorship. The first two attempts gained distinction and resulted in an invitation – as the first Norwegian theatre project ever – to the Salzburg Festival with “Die Massnahme” (see critics below), and for ” Mann=Mann” TVL / Transiteatret-Bergen was awarded the Hedda Prize (The National Theatre Awards Norway) in 2008.
BEK contributes to Fatzer with equipment.
