Velkommen til selvpresentasjon av Diva Helmy fredag 12.mai kl. 15.00. Diva ble nylig uteksaminert med master i kunst fra KHIB/UiB, og på masterutstillingen triage på Bergen Kunsthall kunne man se hennes performance A Dancer’s Territory. I presentasjonen på BEK vil hun snakke om sitt arbeid, og spesielt de potensialene menneskekroppen har for å utvide sin tilstedeværelse ved hjelp av interaktiv teknologi.
Diva Helmy (b. 1993 lives and works in Norway) is an art/technology artist from Los Angeles, California. Diva creates projects that transmit internal activities of the body to the external world. Recent works materialize intimate interactions between humans through the integration of movement/vibration based devices and brain signal sensors as a way to communicate with one another in embodied ways. She is an alumnus of the Parsons Paris BFA Art, Media and Technology program in Paris, France and the MA in Fine Art program at Fakultet for kunst, musikk og design at the University of Bergen in Norway.
