SOLUND LIGHT ART FESTIVAL 2014

We have invited artists Viel Bjerkeset Andersen and HC Gilje to develop site-specific art projects and Ellen Røed to show existing work but in a new context. She has also created a new work in collaboration with people living in Solund. Solund as place place, light phenomena and light as a thematic point of contact should provide a platform for technological, artistic and social development during the festival and the artists’ artwork becomes the focal point for this.
The festival will have a seminar program Friday November the 14th in Solund apartment complex where artists will have self-presentations, and others will lecture about light.
It will in addition to being light art catering, party, music program, workshops, light traveling, and more during the festival.
The festival is run by this years director, Tone Brenna and event manager, Gry Buer.
The art program is put together by artist and curator, Anne Marthe Dyvi, artistic developer at Bergen Center for Electronic Arts, BEK.
Artist Leo CSKX vil have workshops all week on the theme light and shadows that will result in light and site specific works.
Musician Hildegunn Øiseth will have music workshops on the theme light and shadows that will result in a concert on Friday night in Solund Church.
