Baltan Laboratories continues the Natlab legacy

On the 2nd of january 1914, Gilles Holst was appointed the director of Philips Natlab. Holst created an academic atmosphere, inviting prominent scientists, including Albert Einstein to give guest lectures at Natlab. Natlab’s philosophy had become allied to Einstein’s quote: “Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom.” A number of activities are planned for the celebration.
